Robert is the CEO of A.P. Moller Holding, the parent company of the A.P. Moller Group with USD 70bn (2020) in consolidated assets and 90,000 employees.
A.P. Moller Holding instigated the restructuring of the listed A.P. Moller – Maersk in 2016 to revitalize the Maersk activities and purse a renewal of the Group’s portfolio, based on its purpose of developing ‘nyttig virksomhed’ (businesses having a positive impact on society). A.P. Moller – Maersk is today a focused transportation company, running one of the biggest shipping, ports and logistics operations globally. As a result of the Group’s restructuring, Maersk Oil was sold to Total for USD 7.5bn. Lately A.P. Moller Holding has developed new activities within the resource efficiency and circulary economy, acquiring companies such as KK Wind Solutions (the leading power electronics solution supplier to the wind industry) and Faerch (the leading circular plastic packaging company).
